Gettysburg-area resort celebrates summer with wine festival, live concert series, dining events, golf, and wedding events

FAIRFIELD, PA. (April 25, 2024) –

Experience the magic of Liberty Mountain Resort as it transforms from a winter wonderland to a fun-filled summer getaway. Located just outside of Gettysburg, the resort will host several events this summer including a new wine festival, the Music on the Mountain concert series, and a dazzling Fourth of July celebration.

Liberty Winefest with Kelly Bell Band and Jonathan Sloan Trio

Raise a glass to the fusion of local flavors, the spirit of community, and the joy of discovery at the Liberty Winefest in partnership with the Pennsylvania Wine Association . The event will take place 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, June 8.

This event will feature some of the best Pennsylvania wineries including King View Mead , ReKlaimed Vines Winery , Armstrong Valley Vineyard and Winery , Bee Kind Winery , Black Dog Wine Company , Creekside Cellars Winery , Jackson Square Vineyard , Hungry Run Wine Cellars, Twisted Vine Winery, Antler Ridge Winery , Fero Vineyards and Winery, and Cellar '54 .

Admission to the event includes a souvenir wine glass, samples from attending wineries, live music including the Kelly Bell Band and Jonathan Sloan Trio, wine seminars, and a complimentary wine check service for wine purchases made on-site. Ticket sales are available online. Guests who purchase their tickets online in advance will save $25 per ticket. Designated driver tickets will be available at the event gate for $20 per person. Festival guests must be at least age 21 with proper identification.

Festival guests can upgrade to a VIP ticket which includes one-hour early access, a private seating area in the heart of the festival, and exclusive wine tastings.

To kick-off the festival, the resort will host a wine pairing dinner on Friday, June 7, at the on-site Eagle and the Owl. Liberty’s culinary team has created a superb five-course meal paired with wines from the finest Pennsylvania vineyards. Tickets are limited. Advanced registration is required and can be purchased online.

Music on the Mountain Concert Series

Starting May 29, the Music on the Mountain concert series returns to Liberty on Wednesday nights. The fun family-friendly live music event is a community favorite where guests can gather at the base of Liberty Mountain for bands, food, yard games, and more.

Celebrate Independence Day at Liberty. A special edition of Music On The Mountain, featuring the modern rock band “The Few” will be held on the Fourth of July. Liberty Mountain Resort is partnering with the Borough of Carroll Valley to light up the sky in celebration. A fireworks display will be set off from the top of Liberty Mountain at 9:45 p.m.

Carroll Valley Golf Course

Plan a summer weekend escape at Liberty Mountain Resort, everything needed for a perfect getaway is right on site. Open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Carroll Valley Golf Course at Liberty Mountain Resort is unique in design and stunning in scenery. The 18-hole masterpiece, located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, offers extreme diversity with its six par threes, five par fives, and seven par fours that test every aspect of the golf game. The resort also offers hotel accommodations an on-site restaurant, Eagle and the Owl , so guests can stay and play. The restaurant offers great daily specials and events all summer long. Rainy day? No problem. Guests can practice their golf swing with golf simulators located in the resort’s Pro Shop.

Summer Escape Sale

Travelers can save money by booking early with the Summer Escape Sale, offering the best deal on summer lodging rates across Vail Resorts’ portfolio of hotels, condos and chalets. For a limited time, guests can save up to 20% on lodging rates, and Epic Pass Holders can save an additional 20% with Epic Mountain Rewards. Pass Holders also receive early access to the sale starting Monday, April 29, through Wednesday, May 1.

In addition to Liberty Mountain Resort, the Summer Escape Sale lodging rates include Whistler Blackcomb, Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Heavenly, Breckenridge, Seven Springs, Park City Mountain, Crested Butte, Northstar, Mount Snow, Okemo, Hunter and Kirkwood.

Epic Pass Holders can book the Summer Escape Sale by signing into their Epic Pass account starting April 29, selecting the sale and searching for their lodging of choice. For those without an Epic Pass, public access to the sale is open from Thursday, May 2, through Friday, May 10 . Minimum night stay requirements and other terms and conditions apply.
